Description
Loren was born in Stewartsville, Missouri in 1913. He graduated from high school there. He was a tool and die maker at Caterpillar from 1936 - 1968, when he retired. He made hundreds of duck calls, mostly from hedge wood (Osage orange), but also some from walnut and a few other woods.
He is also well-known for the beautiful hunting knives that he made. In addition, he made many items from elk hides, and also made many fish nets. He was truly an outdoor person.
